As I was walking by the Macrina Bakery in Belltown tonight, I saw the most perfect Valentine's Day display. In their window they have a big paper heart that reads, "who & what have you done for love?". And all around this heart are smaller hearts in which people have written their personal answers to this question. It gave me something to think about as I walked home.....not so much the who, but the what for sure. And I must have smiled the entire way home thinking of all the things I've done for love and wondering how different I'd be today had I not taken some of those leaps. Of course I'll never know, and don't really want to because each one of those leaps....even though some didn't turn out the way I had planned...molded & shaped the way I feel about love today. Which is good & happy & makes me feel very very lucky. It was a good walk. And that window will have me thinking for days.

I love how one phrase, one question can lead us to deeper reflection. What we have done or have not done shapes us and as you said, not wanting to know what would have happened if you had not taken some leaps with love...I believe that the choices we make are often the ones we were destined to make and we learn as much from the successes of those choices as we do from the non-successes.
