feeling lucky?

It's Contest Time!

I found these lovely little horseshoe earrings on Etsy the other day and bought two pairs...one for me and one for.....? You???

They are really very sweet and recently featured in Lucky magazine. I have a feeling mine are going to bring me lots of luck.

Want to win?

Here is what you do.

#1 Scoot on over to Facebook and fan Sweet Petula (if you haven't already)

#2 Leave a comment here or on Facebook telling me your favorite holiday tradition. I will pick a winner on December 9th and post on December 10th on our page. (check back, sometimes I can't message you directly via Facebook)

Good Luck!

making my granny annie's (RIP)super special hot buttered rum mix with the hubba hubby to give to friends for the holidays. I remember drinking it mixed with hot apple cider when I was a kid on Christmas Eve at her house. Now I enjoy it with with the rum it's meant to be mixed with. Mmmm...the taste of Christmas!

I now like you on facebook. :)
My favorite tradition at Christmas is the morning. My husband & I get up nice and early and have our own little gift exchange, then we go to my parent's house for stockings, breakfast, and gifts. Stockings are re-filled year after year with goofy gag gifts, and then a yummy breakfast of mimosas, bacon, and croissants... then presents! It used to drive me and my sister crazy having to eat breakfast before opening presents :)

My favorite holiday tradition is buying the tree. Going out in the freezing cold and getting a tree that is to big for the house and than getting it inside. That is the best tradition!

I love the smell of the sugar cookies that fill the house. Seeing friends that I haven't see in a while and just being able to reflect on the times we have shared together.

My favorite tradition is being Elfy and Elfo with my sister for our 2 nieces. For the past 10 years Elfy and Elfo (2 of Santas elves) have been sending and leaving little gifts for Maya and Grace during the several weeks leading up to Christmas. One year, we snuck into their house while they were out of town and put up their Christmas tree. Another year we sent them ornaments, one a day for the 12 days of xmas.

My favorite tradition is driving through Candy Cane Lane in Ravenna, followed up by a cup of hot chocolate at a nearby cozy cafe with a good friend.

My favorite holiday tradition is Christmas eve.

I'm usually the one that picks the theme for the year. So we've had Hawaiian, Red & Black, etc. We all bring something that is related to the theme. Its good to get to see everyone that we may have not seen since the previous year.

After we attend my families get together we attend my girlfriends brothers Christmas Eve party. Their party is a PARTY. It usually goes pretty late.

The holidays always feel like LOVE o me.

My favorite tradition is rolling pasta into ravioli with my mom. We do it just like her gram did--by hand. Then we dry them on newspaper in the kitchen. Yum!
