soap of the month lovelies

Today I'm shipping out all my July Soap of the Month orders. They look so pretty! I have been in an exfoliating mood and wrapped up Sea Spa with a little recipe card for a homemade foot scrub. Want your own soap of the month? They are in the shop.

exfoliate...exfoliate...exfoliate!

My you look glowy....! give yourself an at home salt scrub for a fraction of the spa price. (sugar can also be used..it is more gentle)

1/4 cup dead sea salts (use a natural salt, buy at nicer grocery stores)

1/4 warmed olive oil

few drops of essential oil (you can forgo this...lavender is relaxing, rosemary stimulation, lemongrass refreshing)

Combine oils and salt, mix well. Apply to skin using circular strokes to exfoliate the skin. Continue massaging, until a rosy glow appears..but don't over do...think rosy..not red. Rinse with warm water. Look gorgeous, feel even better.

Pictured above...Lanna, my #1 customer. How do I know she is my #1 customer?......well, you see, Lanna and her Mom, were shopping at Old Navy yesterday. Standing in line to pay. Lanna caught Mom/Rachel out of the corner of her eye smelling some spray perfume...and this is how it went...

I just got a pep talk from a homeless woman. She was delightful. It wasn't until after she told me to get over myself that I knew she was homeless...and it made my day. Just to be clear, she didn't literally tell me to "get over myself"...she just told me her theory of being grateful for what you have.....and it was wonderful....then after we chatted for awhile I realized she was in fact a homeless person. Kind of puts things in perspective.

I heart stripes & swimming

It is swelteringly hot at Sweet Petula...and downtown is dead. What's that thing your Mom used to tell you when you complained about being bored? "if your bored..it means your boring"??? Well, I'm really boring today. It seems like everyone left town early and left me here alone. What gives?
