Avie Designs!

I came home last week to find the most delightful surprise EVER in my mailbox. A few months ago, I had purchased some lovely personalized mailing labels from Avie Designs. Well, my purchase must have landed me on their mailing list, because a few weeks ago I was asked to participate in a survey about their products....and for filling out the survey, I was sent a box of stationary. It was so exciting! Everything about the package they sent me was delightful. Now don't get me wrong, the product has to be amazing (and their paper products are wonderful), but oh how I love good packaging. Even they way they address your package is pretty.
Treat yourself to some of their personalized mailing labels. For a mere $15.00 you get 64 labels. They make paying bills almost fun. Shop now.

one of the best parts of my day....

Surely your all wondering what the heck is going on with our new Pioneer Square shop? Well, it's coming along...a little slowly...but surely. We had hoped to be open sometime in July, but now it looks more like the end of August.
The wholesale portion has been up and running since June, and I'm down here all the time working on products and new orders. It is sweltering hot in here and fortunately, there is a metal screen door I can leave locked, but open. I'm often in back, where passersby cannot see me, but I can hear them. The best part of my day...and it just happened, is when people walk by and I can hear them excitedly talking about the new Sweet Petula! And how excited they are that we are coming to the neighborhood. It makes me happy.
(the other best part of my day in Pioneer Square? Subway Sandwiches...I've just discoved them! They are delicious! Do not tell Tom B. aka: SnootyMcFancyFoodPants)

new jewelry just in

Mille Fiori - one of a kind baroque charm bracelet. This is my favorite favorite piece. There are so many interesting vintage charms on this piece. So pretty!
by NY jewelry designer, Anca, we only got in 5 pieces total, so stop in to see! I had posted a photo last week of her work, and now here is more!
A little bit about Anca.....by Anca....."I was born in Romania, in Eastern Europe and now, many years afterwards, I live in New York. I had fine arts training in my childhood and youth, but then I took a detour for a while, when I busied myself with some exact science and some business. As they say wisdom and maybe self-understanding come with age, and in my fourth decade I went back to what I love doing: painting and making jewelry. I am happy to have traveled all this way and to have finally understood what makes me who I am: my creativity."

pure bliss

(tomorrow I am going to post how you make your own oxygen facial mask...at home!)
It is this super nifty "science project" like face treatment that turns all frothy and fizzy on contact while releasing oxygen into the skin. When I'm using it, I like to pretend that I'm driving through a car wash.....with my face sticking right out the window. It gets that bubbly....very fun. The best part is your instantly brighter, fresher, and younger-looking complexion. And who doesn't need a little of that? This little beauty *costs $52.00 a bottle and is worth every penny.
*or as I like to say $100, because every time I go to Sephora to buy it, I buy at least two other little things I must have.
My last purchases.....

best of craigslist
This afternoon I was listing something for FREE on Craiglist, and had to peruse the "Best Of"..it is one of my favorite weekly reads. The most entertaining part is that many of the ads nominated for the Best of Craigslist are not intended to be funny. Here's a little gem from today.
Oh and just FYI: if you are looking for PG and below reading, you may want to skip following the link to read more. Or you may want to live a little.
three pink plastic lawn flamingos, the momma, the daddy and two babies. in good shape except the momma has a bullet hole. will trade for a good dog or weed eater, will also consider any kind of alcohol as long as it ain't been opened up."

I heart gin

I really love Redheart13's work. She seems very complicated in that there are super girly sweet feminine pieces, then really surprisingly bad-ass girl pieces. Nice! And if you love this necklace...please buy it here.
